Regeneration

As a result of a periodontal disease the bone / connective tissue that holds the tooth in place can shrink. In the Dental Clinic we can also help patients with very advanced bone loss. If periodontitis has led to very advanced bone loss, new bone volume can be created with natural limitation and the lost tooth supporting tissue can be partially rebuilt. There is the possibility of restoring major defects with your own bone or synthetic bone substitute materials (growth of new bone with a Guided Tissue Regeneration, the so-called GTR).

The latest therapy concept is the promotion of the tooth supporting structure (root element, fibre bundle and bone) by application of enamel matrix proteins. These enable the human body to restore the natural tooth-supporting tissues by copying the process of tooth forming.
